CNDFIREARMSTRAINING
Professional, passionate and engaged
Cndfirearmstraining has been providing quality training in Manitoba since 2009. We are certified by the RCMP to provide the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) and Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course. We also offer customized training.
Part of what sets us apart is a passion for hunting, competitive shooting and professionalism.
CNDFIREARMSTRAINING
My name is Paul Houle. I am a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and RCMP certified instructor for the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) and Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC). I started cndfirearmstraining@live.com in 2010 after being disappointed trying to enroll my wife and nephew into a quality CFSC. Since then I have helped hundreds of students complete the CFSC and CRFSC. Feel free to click the LinkedIn icon below to review my professional profile.
For larger classes I co-instruct with another instructor with similar experience who shares my passion for shooting sports. While I focus on competitive action shooting (handguns and carbines) and big game hunting, his passions are long range rifle and bullseye handgun shooting.
Our students have included youths, active duty law enforcement officers, prospective hunters and one fantastic student that introduced herself as a "vegan hippie chick that never wants to have to shoot anything". She required a PAL to conduct plant research in Churchill around polar bears.
The following differentiate us from other training providers:
- Professional adult educators
- 35+ years of experience with firearms
- Commitment to making you succeed
- Modern course equipment
- A fun and engaging course experience (but expect occasional dad jokes)
- Delicious course snacks but just okay coffee
People are asking us if there is any point in taking the CRFSC with the current "handgun freeze" and latest bans via OIC. At this point the easy answer is yes, if you need it for employment purposes, if you want to purchase one of the remaining restricted rifles/shotguns on the market or if you wish to borrow a handgun. With the current "freeze" you could not buy a handgun today. As far as purchasing a handgun for personal use in the future, we wish we had a crystal ball but we do not. What we do know with certainty is that we can (and do) continue to offer the CRFSC and individuals can still get a restricted endorsement on their firearms licence. If this will change in the future is again anyone's guess at this point.
Considering getting into shooting Pistol Caliber Carbines (PCC)? Click here for our experience with the Freedom Ordnance FX9. While the FX9 was one of the most recently prohibited firearms via OIC, we hope to able to again use these in the future.
